How to be a better version of ourselves?

Image
Don’t be surprised by the title if you’re thinking I’m trying to change you into someone else. Being a better version of oneself doesn’t mean trying to look like others, but instead bringing the better part within us.        Therefore, it’s crucial to decide what the good and bad is within us. I   bet this is the hardest choice people have when they decide how their behaviour should be. You may be wondering how people can be mistaken when they differentiate b/n well and bad. In fact many people do. They know what’s good and bad but still choose the bad choice. This leaves us with the question “why?” All this time we have excluded external distractions. Despite the low attention we give to the term, it may be our key problem and if we understand it well, it might lead us to find the solution.       When I mention external distraction in this article, I ...

3 simple ways to a start frugal lifestyle

Image
“Why are you so cheap?” This is the type of remark, many people who are careful with their money have to get used to. Most people tend to see the frugal lifestyle as stingy. There is a big difference between being frugal and being stingy. Frugality revolves around the idea where it requires one to use all resources to the last drop before purchasing. This turns to stinginess when a person starts to cut down the basic necessities for the sake of saving money.         Frugal people themselves aren’t all the same. Some are ok with a very tight budget for the necessities while others aren’t that serious and are only careful of extravagant purchases which might bring debt that is too big.         If you want to be frugal, it’s your choice on setting the level your goals on saving since it depends on your financial situation you are in & what you believe is best...

Why do we miss on fearing out?

Image
It seems to rule everyone. When it appears, we all start cramming to make ourselves well informed. You might be wondering, what it is that makes us panic to the excess? Well I’ll say it is the fearing of missing out. Why do we fear on missing out? It might be responded differently but I’d argue that one core unites all responses. Let’s see it down from an individual perspective. [I’m me. I know I’ve only this life to live and I’ve to make the most of it. I’ve weaknesses but I hope my strengths will overcome them. I don’t like it when I miss out on something important. It feels I’ve been cheated by fate and I’m the unluckiest person. When I grab on something most people don’t get, I feel proud and important but sadly it won’t last.]         I do believe we all feel this way one way or another. From my experience, it’s important to utilize the opportunities we can get, but this raises the question “what things should we spend our time with?” ...

5 steps to start committing to change.

In my other articles, I have said that to start something is half the battle. Today I’m going to talk about the other half. What is to come after we start our journey? How do we keep up the pace we started with?         One thing you will have to be ready all the time when you are about to start something is Frustration. What is frustration, and how does it impede our path? Frustration is a feeling that wants to bring us to our knees, to stop whatever we’ve started. It’s completely OK to be frustrated from time to time. We usually become frustrated when we’re not living up to our expectation or when our goals seem unreachable. I’ve some methods to counter with this problem which I do hope will help you out work hard against the odds. 1.    Be prepared for the worst            Many people believe that we have to prepare to embr...

Why is a moderate change better than radical ones?

In the previous post, Removing the activities you don’t need in your life, you may’ve noticed that radical change is not the best way in changing your activities. In some occasions radical changes may be needed. For instance, stopping to be extravagant can be stopped instantly if we have the will.                     “The only thing that is constant                                                Is change .” Heraclitus   .            Change is a need for mankind and is inevitable. It’s not just limited to man; the entire world and even the universe change....

2 things to do to remove the things you don't want in your life

2 things to do to remove the things you don't want in your life In the earlier post, how to make the time for what really matters I had mentioned that removing the activities we don’t need is a great way of making spare time for those things we want to involve in. but this can be a daunting task. I believe these steps can help you identify the useless activities and annihilate them from your time table. 1.     Sort out the useless activities from the useful. This is definitely the hardest task: to separate the rotten from the fresh. There is no simple rule to sort them out since everybody’s way of spending time differs. But, I’d like to point out these two that affect huge numbers of people: ·         Watching TV : I bet that this is the most widespread way of killing time. WAIT! Why do we even use of the term “killing time”. Why’d anyone want to kill time? Isn’t it the most precious entity one owns? Sadly, v...

How to make the time for what really matters?

Image
Let me start today by asking one simple question                        “Are you doing the things that you want to do?”   Before rushing to answer the question, let’s take a deep breath and calm our mind for a moment … now, what are your wants? We all have got to answer this question before moving on to the primary question (which is literally a yes or no question). While you start to think about these, you’ll have noticed that the answer is going to be a long list, so it’ll be preferable to have a pen and a piece of paper handy.    To give you a tip while writing them down, have three categories where 1.     Things/activities that give you the most joyful moments 2.    Things/activities you do for fun but have a potential in earning you an income or can...
