How to make the time for what really matters?

Let me start today by asking one simple question
“Are you doing the things that you want to do?”
Before rushing to answer the question, let’s take a deep breath and calm our mind for a moment … now, what are your wants? We all have got to answer this question before moving on to the primary question (which is literally a yes or no question). While you start to think about these, you’ll have noticed that the answer is going to be a long list, so it’ll be preferable to have a pen and a piece of paper handy.
To give you a tip while writing them down, have three categories where
1.    Things/activities that give you the most joyful moments
2.   Things/activities you do for fun but have a potential in earning you an income or can be a start of career.
3.   Things you are really doing now (Don’t cheat yourself on this one).
The reason I mentioned “income” on the second choice will be shortly described for now but will have its own post soon.
What are the things that give you joy? can there be a question easier than this?! Yes, this is no easy question, I am serious. The reason that makes me say this is that many of us live in an illusion where we don’t know what real joy is. Today, things that can give us joy can be going to a bar, watching a match, attending a famous musician’s concert, going out to the classiest restaurant in town … and the list goes on
Examples like the ones that are listed in the above paragraph are indeed fun because the they are the things we don’t get to do 24/7  and are so enjoyable because the game is so intense or the food tastes awesome.
But what makes us really happy from the inside? There it is! All the stuff you mentioned above and more! One thing we’ve got to realize is that all the activities I mentioned (and other similar activities) require money. So what’s wrong with that? while thinking about what gives us joy, we have got to make sure that they come from within us. Of course it’s pretty hard to be happy without spending a penny (but it’s possible). For instance, a hiker can generally obtain joy from his/her hobby by facing the challenge of the difficult terrain or perhaps enjoying the view he/her is able to look through the process. But a hiker will also need good shoes, good hiking bag and/or a good tent. All of these equipments require money, but since he/she isn’t buying their joy (isn’t coming from the outside), but when we attach our sole source of joy to money there can be unexpected results. Everyone may have a bad day and during those times we’ll be in deep despair and therefore unhappy. If we don’t have a way to pick up our moods, it may lead up to an ugly ending. The third category is critical for us because we can remove the things that are taking up too much time but aren’t worth the time we’re sacrificing for them.

To sum up, I’d like to tell  my readers, to take a good look at their sources of joy and if they face the problems we previously mentioned try to replace them by things you put in the first and second category.

I believe we can give our time to what matters most if we free up our space that is held by things that are useless or even maybe harmful to us.
Have any comments or questions, I’ll be glad to answer them as soon as I can.

Thanks for reading!
