How to master your health through your thoughts!
How to master your health through your thoughts!
At first it seems illogical to say that
our thoughts control our body health. “What is this person talking about?” one
can ask “will I have 6 packs or lose a dozen pounds just by thinking? Now this
is hilarious!” Yes it may not seem right but … it does.
How on earth? Now let’s step back and
imagine a very normal man in today’s world. Let’s call him YENO. Yeno’s typical
day may look like this.
“I get up around 7 am. Then I hurry to make something to eat for breakfast.
While I cook I normally stick my earphones 1 and keep them
there till I reach work. At work I sit on my desk and stay in front of the screen
for a few hours 2. I’ve also to cope with the nagging
loudmouthed 3 mouth boss of mine who wants to me to kill
myself 4. After a long day of work I go out with my coworkers
for a drink 5. After that I arrive home late and eat a meager
meal 6 and go to bed in no time.
Pretty normal, I guess right? Now you’ll
have noticed that the underlined phrase with their respective numbers. Let’s
work on them a little bit.
1.
On the first phrase it states that he puts his
earphones for entertainment in the early morning. What is the problem with
that? We all do it, don’t we! I’m not saying we should stop using them but I’ve
noticed quite frequently that people start to listen through earphones so that
others wouldn’t hear them (maybe at a public place or others) and also because
they see it as fun or cool thing to do. But sooner or later they start to feel
they are a necessity and use them all the time (now for hours). This starts to
make that person highly isolated from his or her surrounding (especially
dangerous if you’re trying to cross the road with your earphones). These may
lead to a disaster not to mention the impact on your eardrum. If you’re a music
or radio fan I’ll suggest that you reduce your hours on earphone (speaker mode
is a better option) and more importantly restrict their use outdoor.
2.
While even reading this page, people have got to
stare at their screen whatever device they’re using. These days people are
spending more time with digital devices than ever. To us, they are a MUST! Many
depend on the digital world as part of their work or even their whole job may
depend on it. We can’t simply get rid of them (at least for now). It’s best to have some limit for using
screens. Restricting the time spent is the best option.
But I believe that the most dangerous of all kind
of digitalization are the addictive ones – Games. At first, we play games to
find out what they’re about. But after a couple times of trying them out, we
see them as a way to fight boredom. So whenever we’re bored we play games.
These soon turn into habits that aren’t too easy to let go. Normally finding
new hobbies will help us get rid of them. But the severe cases may need a
professional help.
3.
From the third sentence we may see some similarity
to our lives. Yes there are people who try to force their ideas on others and
making them miserable. But these guys are doing that because they aren’t
completely confident about themselves. All of us learn about some life
experience at some point I our lives. Some early, some late but the worst –
some don’t at all. So let’s give them
the time so they can meet their opportunity of learning something new.
After all, we learn something everyday – even if we don’t notice it.
4.
He also mentions about how his boss makes him want
to kill himself. This doesn’t only shows that he’s disgusted with his boss but
also sees no reason in life other than working, drinking, eating and sleeping.
He’s not explored himself enough. Some people find it terribly hard to find
themselves by looking somewhere else. But the thing is they have it all there
with them. Check this if you want find out more. But for short having a
peaceful mind alone is the key to find oneself.
5.
The fifth underlined sentence states that his best
part of the day is hanging out with his friends. It’s totally fine drinking
alcohol and having fun with friends. But as we’ve seen earlier, a person who
doesn’t know what he really wants may not find any other way of not being
bored. Alcohol makes one warm and boosts confidence – for a while but at a cost
we all know. It’s addictive and is going to ravage your saving and start to
kill your liver. I can’t tell you to stop drinking. That’s up to you. If you
like drinking once in a while for health – minimize your usage. I also believe
drinking at home is better than a bar (reduces accidents).
6.
The last words show how he takes eating meals
lightly. This is going to eventually disturb his state of health. By giving more priority to drinking than to essential meals he is likely for his body to be upset and bring more difficulties. Therefore we always have to prioritize. What comes first should come first.
